We have 5 slots left for our next session of the Hazelwood Youth Media Justice Program.
Super excited to have Blak Rapp Madusa, Gretchen Neidert and Nazura Asaseyeduru
as just a few of the teaching artists we have confirmed so far. Students will be focusing on building video production skills as well as working developing their own media journalism business, all the while learning the importance of youth inspired stories riding the wave of the 3rd civil rights movement that we find our selves in.
Students have the opportunity to earn stipends as they learn.
We will also be going to the big apple in New York City in November to see the Truthworker Youth Theater company’s new production: BAR CODE: A performative analysis of the school to prison pipeline. Members of HYJMP will have the opportunity to meet and interview members of the barcode cast. Check out the Trailer! So excited to be collaborating with TRUTHWORKER!!

The program runs Tues and Thursdays from 4:30 to 7pm.
